Training for Speed, Agility, & Quickness

Training for Speed, Agility, and Quickness is by far my favorite SAQ (Speed, Agility, and Quickness) resource anywhere. Much like Discover Soccer, it is a combination of technique like butt kickers and drills like t-drills.

Most material in the book requires little or no equipment. If you’ve got a handful of training cones, you can do 90% of the training in the book. What’s more, most of the material can be done alone (with a handful requiring two people). Judging from the number of questions I receive relating to solo-training, this is something most of our readers, both coaches and players, will appreciate.

One of the things I like best is the way it is categorized into area of training (speed, agility, balance, quickness, etc) with each individual exercise clearly broken down into “purpose” (what it trains) and “procedure” (how to do it). In some cases there are progressions for more advanced training, and in most cases the description is accompanied by a photo or graphic to show how the exercise is performed.

If you are a serious player, a coach of older or advanced players, or a personal trainer, I highly recommend that you click here and purchase it now.
