Butt Kickers

“Butt Kickers” are an excellent exercise that serve both as a great warm-up and also train player speed by improving running form and increasing stride frequency.

  • Begin at a normal jogging pace
  • While jogging, instead of simply back swinging with their leg, players pull their heel up so that it touches their glute (hence the name “butt kickers”)
  • As the leg bends, players knees should come forward so that their quad is parallel to the ground.
